The United States has reacted strongly to the defacing of a Mahatma Gandhi statue at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial plaza where on December 12 Khalistani supporters had draped a separatist flag over the statue's face when they took out a rally in support of farmers protesting against the centre's agriculture laws.
